| Good Evening, this is your call and my name is your name
opening this weeks Portage Emergency Net. This net meets every Monday evening at 8:30 PM local time on the Portage Amateur Radio Club Repeater on 145.39 mHz. The machine has a negative offset and time-out is approximately a miunute and a half. This is a controlled net and is open to all amateurs within the listening area of this repeater. This is a traffic and training net and is a good place in which to practice net operating procedures. Please direct all communications through net control. If you must leave the net, please advise net control you are doing so. When checking in please give your callsign, name, location and indicate whether you have traffic for the net. First are there any stations with emergency, priority or time value traffic? If so, please call net control. Are there any mobile, portable or stations on short time? If so, please call now. We will start taking check-ins. Who would like to be number one? Take and acknowledge all check-ins and note who has traffic. At a convenient point, break and go back to stations with traffic in order of check-in. After all traffic has been passed, go back and take check-ins. Do we have any additional check-ins for the Portage Emergency Net? If so, please call now. Take and acknowledge all check-ins and note who has traffic. After passing traffic, go back and take check-ins. This is a good time to make any net announcements, hamfests, club meetings, public service events etc... This is the last call for any additional stations or stations with additional traffic for the Portage Emergency Net. Hearing nothing, this concludes this weeks' net. Thanks to everyone who checked in. I'd like to thank the Portage Amateur Radio Club for the use of the repeater. The net is now closed and the repeater is returned to normal operations. This is your call signing clear. Note the number of check-ins and time of the net. |
| After the net, send an e-mail to Dave Kaltenborn N8KBC AND KC8PD@AOL.COM ?subject=pORTAGE eMERENCY nET"> with the date, operation time and the number of check-ins. |
